The Roman Empire started in 509 B.C. with starting as a Republic for the first time in the Roman Empire.  Chandragupta Maurya founds Mauryan empire in India in 321 B.C.  In 264 B.C. the first Punic War begins.  In 218 B.C the second Punic War begins with Hannibal invades Italy.  In 202 B.C. the Han Dynasty takes power in China.  In 31 B.C. This marks the end for important events in the B.C. part of history.

This marks the beginning of the A.D. part of History.  In 100 A.D. the Moche culture arises in South America.  In 284 A.D. Diocletian becomes emperor of Rome.  In A.D. Aksum kingdom emerges in east Africa.  In A.D. western Roman Empire falls.
