5. Latin was the language in Rome, and remained the language of learning in the West long after the Romana Empire fell.  It was also the language for the Roman Catholic Church in the 20th century.

Today in Western Civilization class I witnessed other groups present their Greek Civilization projects, the first group talked about the different governments that were created, they did this by becoming the leaders that created the different governments and discussed it as if it were a meeting and there were sides; I thought that it was a fun and playful twist to the project.  The next project was performed by Ben and Will and they did the Olympics, they discussed how they started, the traditions, the events, and even reenacted some of them (they were poorly done), but they were able to get the events for the most part correct and they were also fun to watch how they were performed.
