The history books provided for my class talks about how Pompey became Julius Caesar's politoical rival in the rap there is no recollection of this happening. In the rap there is also talk of draining a swamp and building Rome on top of this dries out swamp there is no mention in the books about this. I do however like that both the rap and the books cover that Julius Caesar team up with two other guys to attain political power, Pompey was one of these two guys that Caesar decided to team up with. I think that both the rap and the books cover important point that the other one had missed
Today in Western Civilization class I witnessed other groups present their Greek Civilization projects, the first group talked about the different governments that were created, they did this by becoming the leaders that created the different governments and discussed it as if it were a meeting and there were sides; I thought that it was a fun and playful twist to the project. The next project was performed by Ben and Will and they did the Olympics, they discussed how they started, the traditions, the events, and even reenacted some of them (they were poorly done), but they were able to get the events for the most part correct and they were also fun to watch how they were performed.
